You may not fully understand the technology behind Search Engine Optimization process – after all, that is what experts are for – however understanding the concept is easier then you think.
If you had ever bought or sold a house, or even simply watched any of the house-hunting shows on TV, consider yourself armed with basic knowledge.
Let’s imagine that the website is the house that you want to buy or sell.
Step #2: Getting Listed Properly
If you place a “For Sale” ad into a newspaper, a realtor’s magazine or a community board, make sure your write details about your property. You wouldn’t want to limit your ad to nothing but overly vague “Great Offer!” in description. On the other hand, you don’t need to write a saga of your family history. What you need is to cover your basics, such as whether your property is residential or commercial, how many bedrooms and bathrooms do you have, what is the square footage of the house and property, special features, and so on.
Ensure your listing to be properly classified and targeted toward potential relevant buyers.
When you want to promote your website, you want to apply the same logic: submit your domain name with basic information about your website to online directories.
Requirements for submission vary from source to source; however, the basics typically include specifying the domain name, your industry category, type of business you are in, your geographic location, the title for the posting, keywords, and brief description.
