Where Business Meets Mission: Learning about Families for Families at the MRCC Luncheon

This past week, Powersolution.com had the privilege of attending the Inspirational Women in Business Luncheon hosted by the Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Bergen County Professional Women’s Network. Held at the Crowne Plaza in Suffern.

Business leaders, entrepreneurs, creatives, and advocates filled the room, all brought together by a shared commitment to supporting women in the workplace and beyond.

The keynote speaker, Cristyn Madley, founder of Families for Families, shared her journey of leadership, resilience, and purpose-driven work. Her story served as a powerful reminder of how business can be used as a force for good—and how personal passion can fuel professional success. The discussion was moderated by Susan Caminiti, longtime business writer and editor, who guided the conversation with insight and depth.

During lunch, we had the chance to engage in meaningful conversations—many of which opened the door to discussing how essential cybersecurity and IT support are for women-owned businesses and professional firms alike.

One standout moment? A financial advisor shared her surprise that cybersecurity providers are so rarely present at women’s networking events—and expressed strong interest in collaborating on future educational opportunities like a Lunch & Learn.

Why This Event Mattered to Us

At Powersolution.com, we believe in the power of connection, education, and showing up—especially in spaces that foster collaboration and growth. Supporting women in business is not just something we value; it’s part of how we aim to build a more secure, empowered professional community.
